So as to further strengthen Anqing Foreign Language School’s teaching management and build a platform for home-school education communication, on 14th December, 2018, the Junior High Department of Anqing Foreign Language School’s west campus held the ‘Open Day for Parents’ activity, in which parents from all grades positively participated with full enthusiasm.
To be specific, the Teaching Open Day included a series of sessions such as morning reading observation, morning exercises, daily sentence, subject exhibition, recess and questionnaire survey. Therefore, parents were able to know more about the theory on school management and educational teaching quality by means of attending lectures, following class management, zero-distance communication with teachers and visiting the campus culture.
What’s more, parents who attended the lectures objectively evaluated the teaching process and teaching effect. For one thing, they highly affirmed the teachers’ classroom teaching level and teaching quality. For another, parents sincerely put forward a great many valuable opinions and reasonable suggestions for Anqing Foreign Language School’s future development, hoping that Anqing Foreign Language School would hold more activities like this to enhance the information exchange between home and school.
Meanwhile, many parents were quoted as saying, ‘Though the Parents’ Open Day only lasts one day, it has taught us to think from children’s perspective and reflect on our educational methods so that we know how to respect and understand our children, learn how to feel the same way as they do and share the happiness of growth together!’
